In Memory of Matteo Vacchelli

It is with great sadness that the Toxnet community marks the passing of our friend and colleague, Dr Matteo Vacchelli.

Since joining Merz Therapeutics in 2021, Matteo served as Merz’s lead representative supporting Toxnet. Working closely with the leadership team, he played an important role in facilitating the activities of the network and was a passionate advocate for its mission to advance education, research and collaboration in spasticity management.

Matteo quickly became much more than a valued partner to Toxnet. His professionalism, enthusiasm and collaborative spirit, together with his warmth, kindness and generosity, earned him the respect and friendship of colleagues across the network. He was deeply committed to supporting Toxnet and took great pride in its continued success.

Although his time with Toxnet was far too short, Matteo made a lasting impact on the people who had the privilege of working alongside him. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Matteo’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.
