Expert Connect 2023

Merz Therapeutics recently held its first Global Expert Connect Summit in Berlin on 6–7 October 2023 with over 300 international Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in attendance from over 30 different countries.

The event focused on advanced treatment options for movement disorders, spasticity, and sialorrhea to better serve people living with these conditions. The schedule included more than 27 lectures, educational sessions and hands-on training, delivered by international thought leaders on a variety of relevant topics and provided HCPs of different backgrounds and levels of experience with the opportunity to connect, exchange experiences, gain theoretical knowledge, and hone their practical skills. The summit was the largest global stand-alone event of its scale in the company’s history.

Members of Toxnet were proud to deliver 3 sessions covering their educational initiatives and an innovative tool for defining patient goals.

The first Toxnet sessiom was a symposium on the Comprehensive Curriculum on Spasticity Assessment and Management (2022), delivered by several Toxnet members. The Toxnet group also delivered an interactive Goal-Setting Masterclass.

The final session focused on the GO-FAST (Goal-Oriented Facilitated Approach to Spasticity Treatment) Tool that has been designed to provide structured, coordinated support for HCPs, working in rehabilitation medicine practice to implement a patient-centric, goal-based approach to spasticity management.
